We produce new computing experiences.

Most applications today are built to run in the cloud, on computers owned by the companies that make them. That usually means your data—your photos, lists, messages, and other personal information—lives there too.

Portico Works is exploring a different way of computing by changing where applications are designed to run. We believe more applications can run on a cloud in your own home, where your data stays with you and you decide who can use it. The people you choose can still connect and share from wherever they are.

Our goal is to help make the home cloud a place where developers build new applications and experiences—giving people more choices about the applications they use and putting them in charge of their own data.

Coming soon

Portico Edge turns a computer in your home into a place you can share with the people you choose. Create grocery lists the whole family can update in real time, keep shared checklists and timers, or start a private Conversation for exchanging messages. Put a list on a shared screen in the kitchen, or use it from your phone while you’re away from home. Portico handles the connection, so everyone can participate from their phone, tablet, laptop, or browser.
